Angel held Connor in front of the Christmas tree; tiny hands reached for the shiny, golden balls on it. "Aunt Cordy did a good job decorating it, didn't she, Connor? Left out all those pesky religious ornaments so daddy doesn't get hurt."

Wesley couldn't help but chuckle. He placed his hand on Angel's shoulder. "He does seem to love the reflective lights."

"Connor's rather excited about his first Christmas." Angel smiled at his son who started to make little fists with his hands.

"I see. Connor certainly had a large wish list." Wesley gestured to the large pile of presents under the tree.

"Not everything under there is for Connor." Angel looked up as Wesley removed his hand.

"Oh." Wesley sighed. "Well, I best get going."

"Last minute Christmas shopping?" Angel shifted Connor in his arms.

"You could say that."

Angel smiled. "Why don't we go together? Connor could visit Santa."

"I think he's a little young." But Wesley found himself placing the car seat in his SUV and driving to the mall with Angel and Connor.

Angel talked incessantly about Connor's latest changes as Wesley nodded his head. "Sorry, I shouldn't bore you with the details of Connor's daily life."

"It's okay," Wesley assured him as they pulled into the parking lot. "I'm glad that you have someone to keep you grounded." He opened his door, getting out and waiting for Angel and Connor.

They pushed passed the last minute shoppers and found the long line of people waiting for Santa. Angel chatted with Connor and the woman behind him who had her three children with her. He smiled as by the time he and Connor were next in line, Wesley appeared with a few shopping bags on his arm.

"This seems rather tedious." Wesley gazed back at the long line that had formed behind Angel. "Especially when you consider that Santa's actually a demon who…"

"Yeah, Wes, I know." Angel nodded as the woman in the elf costume signaled for them to approach Santa.

Wesley stayed behind the camera and couldn't help but smile when Angel refused to let Santa hold Connor. But they had their picture taken anyway. He paid the elf for the picture as Angel gave Santa Connor's wishes. Wishes that Wesley was sure Connor had every one under the tree.

Angel took the picture from Wesley as they walked toward the SUV. "Connor and I were thinking that you should have eggnog and cookies with us when we get home."

Wesley smiled and held the door open for them. "I'd like that."
